In August 2006, some of the SSQ workforce painted the walls of Townsend School playground.
Townsend is a large primary school housed in a three storey Victorian building close to the centre of London. Most children live within the immediate locality in rented flats, housing association and local authority homes. A very high number of children do not have English as their first language. The number of children known to be eligible for free school meals is above the UK national average, as is the number identified as having special educational needs. A number of staff from the SSQ's London office spent two days working at the school.
