Corporate Social Responsibility

As part of SSQ’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme for 2013, SSQ’s London team lent a hand to the Chelsea Pensioners in September. Staff from all levels of the business dedicated their time to a number of tasks in the grounds of The Chelsea Hospital, such as clearing a number of flower beds ready for new plants for next season. Everyone worked hard pulling up plants of all sizes, including some very large shrubs which had been firmly established, in preparation for 2014.

It was great to be able to undertake this work in such beautiful surroundings for an important charitable organisation.  Our staff were delighted to meet and chat with some of the pensioners who have chosen to give up their military pensions and live full time at The Chelsea Hospital.  We hope their gardens are back in full bloom next year.
